We met on Hinge! Apparently, apps do work & dating in DC isn't really all that terrible....mostly. Our first date was at a wine bar (Kate's pick). Kate was late, per usual, but nevertheless Ed persisted & we ended up at her Uncle's bar. We continued seeing each other, doing things like watching murder documentaries (Kate's idea); going to bars to watch Spur's games at 7am (Ed's idea); & going to more wine bars.

We bonded over our love of food & drink, with Ed taking Kate to her first Michelin starred restaurant - a tradition that has been kept up for every birthday & anniversary. We met each other's families & they each welcomed the other with open arms. We moved in together & created a little life in DC all our own. In the almost 6 years they've been together, they've grown up & grown with each other.

On Friday morning, May 3rd, Ed slipped the ring on Kate's finger. If you know anything about Kate & her sleep, you know how dangerous that is. And if you know anything about this long awaited proposal, you know how excited they both were. Kate got up to put on her makeup which she immediately cried off when she called her mom...when she finally answered after 3 missed calls.

We always knew we would want a more intimate wedding in a romantic & outdoors setting, & France turned out to be the perfect encapsulation of their relationship. Kate's paternal grandmother hails from Brittany, France, & we just knew it would be the perfect backdrop.

Now we're here with all of you! And we're so glad you're here celebrating with us. <3
